I'll See You In My Dreams/America (live)

 Genre: Acoustic

This is the last of my "Jamming with Jack" songs from my monthly performances at the Californian Convalescent Hospital. The two songs: "I'll See You in My Dreams" and "America" were often my goodbye set-ending songs to these dear old people. Nothing fancy or finished here... far from it. Glad to complete the series. Glad for the opportunity I had to bring a little music to these folk.

I'll See You In My Dreams/America
Thanks for this, Jack. You can appreciate why the first song resonates so strongly with people who have more than likely lost their life partner. Lovely rendition. "America" is such an iconic song, too. I'm not American and it ran a tiny shiver down my back. Thanks for caring for these people.

Resonating music
I've loved these "Jamming with Jack" posts from the nursing home. There is almost nobody untouched by music .. and to show up to sing and play these standards surely resonated with those old folks. Kudos to you for taking the time to do it and bring a little joy into their lives.

Warren, glad to know you've enjoyed the Jamming series of song posts. It's been pretty cool for me to relive doing that monthly gig. The folks did like it and so did I - win - win! Cheers

Jack is Jamming...
Somewhere there is a light on...
Just open yer eyes, and you can see it shinning.
Possible to hear the light right here... Good on ya.

This little light...
Every now and then. Good words, Daug. The light is indeed there to see and even hear. Blessings on you!

Such authenticity...
To hear this personal performance that is performed in such an unaffected manner is very very delightful, indeed. To hear a REAL performance that speaks from the heart is something that just can't be beaten with a studio-like recording. Thanks for this lovely post.

You are too kind. Yet of course, I do appreciate your comments. Authentic and from the heart... humbling praise from a true musician.
