Broken
Less than a minute into this and I was drawn. The use of "Junk" being thrown around gives it a nice grimy atmosphere.

Happy holidays Mitchell!
Nice of you to drop by for a listen - and thanks for generous thoughts.Chris starts with a germ and some lyrics and we work out the arrangements together as a band. On this tune Chris asked for the sound of glass breaking to start. I used breaking glass samples, some junk, some keyboard hits.

free falling
into a nice groove like when the singing starts, its got such nice space everything is together in its own space, that bass just driving me through, sounds like horns there at the end with the climbing bass, its going to be a killer album!

Happy holidays Tim - to you and the fam
We worked with a great engineer - and the space was cool. There are indeed sampled horns on there. Here's a link to the album. https://collapsibleshoulder.bandcamp.com/releases
Thanks for the listen.

You guys are painting a pretty immersive sonic picture. The change up when the guitar and vocals come in is unexpected but very welcome. I like the warm mix. Some fine bass lines, too. Fine recording, Bud. Thanks, guys.

Happy holidays Peter - thanks for dropping in -
I'll pass your note along. We were able to record the whole album live without phones in one session - in a room with a high ceiling. Kato did the mix.

Love the intro section. Love the "song" section also. Recording is pretty much spot on. I love that you've all done all this without any need for slick solos. A thoughtful piece, very interesting music, and full of little "oh .... did I hear that?!" moments. Cool post.
Best wishes for 2017 guys.
Cheers from Oz,
Neil

Lots
of interesting sounds and good to hear something so creative. The intro is nice and works well with the rest of the tune when the vocals and guitars come in.
Bass sounds nice, great recording and an excellent mix.
Very much enjoyed Kevin.

I really
like the contrast between the junk-percussion and the synth. Evokes the inherent duality of current day city life... Nice vocal as well. Good tune boys!

Be well!
