Description
Merry Christmas! In the tradition of Christmas here ya go, and one day early too.
Third glimpse... behold! Dawn.
Use caution, as this material was mastered with experimental procedures which may damage
inferior audio equipment.
Go back and listen to the first two "Glimpses". Then this one. Thematic entanglement is clearly demonstrated.

Thematic entanglement
What happens when a room full of monkeys plays video games at once? Will they produce a great symphony by chance? Is thematic entanglement objective or subjective? We may never know, but this is a fun experiment anyway.

Now off to damage some inferior equipment! Thx 4 th weapon!

Well H3nry
I can't help you with your question about Monkeys and video.
The idea you desire a great symphony? When Chuck Berry has already written "Too Much Monkey Business" is beyond consideration at this point? Lol. I would suggest giving up on dualities like object and subject, but that is my own personal crusade.
The ability to create seeming unlimited improvisation around a suitable theme is a part of the Bach mythology, significant historical evidence exists reference Franz List's ability to improvise over a theme, he simply could overwhelm his audience with creativity.
Closer to our times Hendrix, on New Years Eve '69/70 with the Band Of Gypsies, reinvented the electric guitar in the space of about three hours, live in front of paying customers.
The three "Glimpses", or entanglements, were derived as improv over a theme. I have several other "takes" of the form, sadly, less interesting than these.
A musician friend once suggested, "Those that can't-don't." (about improv). After a particularly poor refrain from the same source he added, "The rhythm section is the home of the heavy shoes." This is a mystery truth, yet a truth indeed.

Glimpse Awakening
The "eyes" in the artwork were staring at me the whole time! I really liked the opening section. Loved the bass when it come in, too. It worked in nicely with the piano and the percussion to lay a bed that allowed Stinky and Dirty to be out on the prowl. Lots to like. Thanks, Daug.

Hello Peter
Of course the electric guitars appear on this awakening. The "eyes" are actually a fractal called "Awakening," imagine that...
Best of luck next year my friend...

Always
an interesting and creative piece of music you produce Daug that I enjoy so much.
In my band days we used to go off on a tangent and improvise and I used to love that although our bass player used to get a bit nervous and say we've not rehearsed this :-)
A wonderful piece of creative music and very much enjoyed!
All the best for 2017!

Hello Bob
When did improv in pop music become passé? About the same time Michael Jackson's "Thriller" ruled the airways. A co-incidence? not on your life.
Your remark about bass players and improv is telling. How about this insight? When Phil Lesh was not playing well the Dead did not fly. Jerry could have an off night, when the chemicals were not right, or he missed his carbs, and, the Dead could still achieve liftoff, but only if Phil was grooving...
Thank you for your support on this project.

a cool lilt
a lilt and a slight and effective choke to the piano - and the usual elegance of a daugtune with multi-layering that keeps one in analysis mode. I like.
