Description
Back in the 80's I heard this recording by a Japanese New Age band. I had never heard anything like it. They fused traditional sounds with a more contemporary sound. So this past week I attempted to create a piece based on my memory of it. I began by programming a kick and snare beat to a shaker as my click. I then used a dulcimer sound from Sample Tank and built from there.

I
got the same feeling as the pic: the freedom of flight. An uplifting World sound that's different and welcome. This would fit right on a compilation CD.

There is not a lot going in this piece - and there doesn't need to be, as you found yourself the perfect "feel good" chord progression, and set it up perfectly. It's one of those little progressions you can listen to over and over and not get tired of it. As far as I'm concerned, it could've gone on a whole lot longer. Enjoyable, relaxing piece - thanks!

what i like is that you can be bold to be diverse in your music creations. this is a excellent example of going into uncharted territory and a good memory too.

Nippon Rules
If a never tried it, I suggest Alice Nine. They are a Nippon glam band and rule the pop culture in that part of the world. Similar sounds and brash attitude.
I enjoyed this piece. Many great sounds. The mix is accomplished. Yer really growing Stan.
