Description
Still kickstarting my muse in August of 2016 this was the third simple loop arrangement I made, this time with a sample collection from OutputLoops. I used five samples (Percussive 5, Organic 9 and 10, and both High and Low Electronic) as well as two ATMOS samples from Generdyn Cinematic Effects. The result was quite different for me, but I knew it needed more: a lead, a vocal maybe.

AndySax (awigze) had commented (while I was on sabbatical) that he'd like to collab again sometime so I sent this to him for a listen (along with another which became But Now She's Gone feat. awigze). Fortunately, he liked both of them and sent back 3 sax tracks for this one which changed the entire direction/feeling and blew me away. So I remixed and, after a little bit of futzing and several biggish edits (on my stuff, not his) we have something to share with you. (I'll save the other loop piece for another time ;-) The image is by *bitterev at deviantart.

My working title for this was Industrial Stomp but I think you'll agree that Andy's additions make this anything but stomp-ish. Also, I think in terms of kickstarting, this one worked: I started 12 projects in September, 4 or 5 I'm happy with and will share in time. Meanwhile, even though this is an elegy, enjoy that which made it one: Andy's soulful sax.

Nice collab!
I've worked with Andy a couple times years back. Always a good experience. The man delivers!

Yeah, an elegy. You nailed the mood.

Be well friend!

Everything fits together well and Andy's sax adds a moodiness and power to the work. I like what you've done here!

Excellent
Isn't it great when two different music styles marry in this harmonious way?!

Thanks for the download and take care,

Industry
You guys sound great here. The change at 1:50 makes for a nice contrast, that is Mr. Fab's voice all right.
The production on here supports the material with clean heavy mids.

Nice!
Sounds like it would fit right in on the soundtrack of a Bladerunner-esque sci-fi movie. Nice contrast between the cold industrial sound and the almost organic sound of Andy's sax.

Enjoyed it.

Robocop
well not Robocop itself but the derelict giant industrial plant where the baddies hung out. That was the image this fine piece bought to mind. A great collaboration. Much enjoyed. Cheers Mark
