Lyrics
It doesn't seem like winter
The days are very long
I think I feel a splinter
Then again I could be wrong

At noon I meet the family
With gifts I second guess
My eyes revolving candy
A daughter to undress

This weekend in the mountains
Cooking what we've killed
My lessons go uncounted
A dog's wrath I have spilled

Mouths to feed at daybreak
A feast could never mend
As holy pharaohs milkshake
The slut of struggle bends

Flirting in a chamber
Of men and stony tools
This hand to you no stranger
Puts you back in school

Pull the rope again Lord
Ask me what I am

My sons are never bored

A strange intro
for what's to follow (tho considering what follows, maybe not so strange ;-) and the Genre is somewhat misleading, but this is a great bit of fun. I love the jungle beat (been working on one myself lately) and the deadpan/monotone delivery starts out sounding like a tribal elder imparting great knowledge around the sacred fire and morphs into a silly -- but a silly that works -- collection of word/sound poetry. And I like the simple accompaniment that turns it all into music. Very nice. My only nit might be the too long refrain.

Never Bored
A very dark and brooding song. Very restrained and there is a lot of tension in it. Reminds me of Nick Cave. I like your songs Chief.

I always
like songs with a story to them ( wonderful descriptive style) and this strange monotone way you have of vocalising does match up with the equally unusual yet very attractive sounding backing. I really liked this, regards M

Definitely
a Nick cave vibe herein.

I love the brooding vocal melody/delivery. Matches the lyrics quite well. Cool guitar work. Understated yet effective. :-)

Enjoyed! (Not bored even a little...)

Be well friend!
