Description
This was my first composition to be played at a relatively serious concert. It's only a couple years short of its 40th anniversary.

The other day someone found the handwritten score online and decided to want to play it, so I retypeset it and played it into Logic to check for mistakes.

Ragtime
Wonderfully rhythmic and playful. Nice interplay across the orchestra. You use contrasts really effectively in tone, timing, and dynamics. I can easily picture choreography to this piece. I enjoyed it Vic, and thanks for the download.

Sophisticated music for someone so young!

Raggedy Ann's Ragtime
There's plenty going on here. Will there be 18 players of it at the concert? Very entertaining, Vic.

Ha! An adorable picture...
Cool piece of your musical history. Reminds me just a tad of a non-album track from "War Child" era Jethro Tull called "Quartet." Very enjoyable Vic...

Wonderful!
It certainly has a theatrical air about it.

Part of a lost score for Threepenny Opera.

What Doug said... :-) That plus Raggedy Anne does have a disarming way with a quaver. Thanks, Vic.

70's flashback...
I'm glad to hear you weren't totally "serious" to the point of avoiding rhythm and tonality like so many composers of the day. This is a fun piece!
