Lyrics
Blue Shoes

Lucy sold flowers at the market fair
heads home where nothing is there
if she could buy those blue shoes she has eyed
then everything would be alright
Lucy is desperate for those blue shoes

Lucy sold her soul for those blue shoes
devil has a price at the crossroads
Lucy sold her soul with nothing left to lose

Lucy walked for miles in those blue shoes
she couldn’t stop if she wanted to
are these shoes possessed Lucy said out loud
she was beautiful in those shoes
but it was a lie, Lucy realized

Lucy sold her soul for those blue shoes
devil has a price at the crossroads
Lucy sold her soul with nothing left to lose

blue skies materialized right before her eyes
burn the shoes and send them straight to hell

upon seeing the soles of those blue shoes
the devils skin blistered again
where is Cinderella who wore these shoes
where did Lucy go? no one knew

Lucy sold her soul for those blue shoes
devil has a price at the crossroads
Lucy sold her soul with nothing left to lose

Those Shoe's got the blues
Vic very original song but yet I heard slight references to other stuff also. Your vocal started off like Tom Petty, telling us a strange, slightly perverse story. Bathed in sarcasm and forbidding relationships. Wouldn't have been out of place on the Beatles White Album either. Your usual quality throughout. Nice one!

Giving the devil her due!
Wow... Beautiful guitar work in here. Love the tones you're getting. Absotively YUMMY lead solo!

Cool tune about yet another Faustian deal gone sideways. Great tongue-in-cheek fun Vic...

Be well friend!

thanx sammy
and to think it started with just 4 or 5 chords to begin with. more chords seemed to jump in and got rooted in to the piece

A
great song Vic with great lyrics.
I love the intro and the descending arpeggio chords, that low string guitar riff is very nice!
Lots of lovely chords and a wonderful progression.
Superb guitar work Vic and very much enjoyed :-)

Blue Shoes
Eclectic, yet accessible. Clever that. Plenty of riffage to keep us guitar heads engaged. Fine choice of tones, as always. Like this one a lot. Thanks.

blue shoes
Lucy should keep her soul, like the tom toms and chunky rhythm so cool , Like how you come out of the lead, some strange changes but it thumps its way into my head with its blue shoes

cool guitarwork.
Felt that Beatle vibe here and there but descending chords always do that, hehehe

Moody
The whole song has a deeply dark feel to it. Great playing as always with a hint of Chris Izaak in there. Lucy sounds like a right saucy minx!!!

Entertaining in all respects: lyrics, arrangement and that driving guitar solo that comes in at 2:17. Excellent work, Vic!

Shoo Blues
You get great tones Vic, and as always, they work so well with the lyrics and your slightly scary vocal here. Nice drums too.
You must be up to 200+ (207, I just checked) songs at MJ by now - don't know how you keep your mojo happening over all this time.
Great post as ever.
Cheers from Oz,
Neil
