Description
The great Glen Campbell died not so long ago
Originally a session musician, one of the famous Wrecking Crew, member of the beach Boys and a performing artist in his own right.
This is one of his most famous songs, written by Jimmy Webb in 1968.
I saw an impressive documentary about his last years, suffering from alzheimer, slowly losing all his mental abilities, but the music stayed with him as one of the last things
This is a tribute.. RIP Mr Campbell
All instruments by me
KC

Fine tribute...
.... to a truly one-of-a-kind singer/songwriter. I can''t think of any song of Campbell's that I haven't liked, but Witchita is right up at the top of the list. You do such a good job singing this classic number, and your arrangement is understated and the vocal is clear as a bell. I so enjoyed your tribute.

...is at THE TOP OF MY LIST of all my favorites from Glen Campbell. (My initial comment sounds like just the opposite...Sorry for the faux paux.)

wow
what a tribute... reminds me of the times my family traveled the country during our US visit (furlough). This album was added to the family collection. Love the clean mix, vocals and those guitars.

Depressed... now sad...
Not because of the quality of this wonderful cover. But rather because I grew up with GC and when I first started guitar I tried to play everything like him. Of course I failed... no one can match a member of the Wrecking Crew.

I have been somewhat depressed recently for personal reasons. Now this just makes me sad.

But that is what Music is supposed to do. Invoke emotion and you certainly did that with this beautiful tribute.

Nicely done! Very very nicely done! Loved every second.

Fine tribute, KC. Great song by Jimmy Webb and Campbell had the vocal chops to do it justice. Your version serves the song extremely well, too. Lovely guitar work. Kudos. Thanks.
