Lyrics
Life isn’t always fair and isn’t always right

Do we know how to admit that?

We wake up to crying in the middle of the night

Sometimes I fear we may fall flat.

Our heads are in our hands when we turn off the light

But do we know how to admit that?

We want to steer clear of the angry old fight

Silence is worse than combat

Chorus 1

Fine lines to cross or not

Everybody should know them

Fine lines to cross or not

We will begin to show them

Fine lines to cross or not

We can all honor and respect them

Fine lines to cross or not

What do we do when we’ve crossed that line?

Verse

We weren’t always there when we should have been

But do we know how to admit that?

When we felt so trapped and lonely we’d turn negative again

We know that we have to work together and chat

Our hearts are on the floor when we think of our strife

But do know how to admit that?

We want to steer clear of that terrible life

Now we find things to laugh at.

Chorus 2

Find lines to cross or not

Everybody should know them

Find lines to cross or not

We will begin to see them

Find lines to cross or not

We can all honor and respect them

Find lines to cross or not

Then we know that we won’t cross that line.

SOLO

Bridge

Pushing the limits

Finding the clues

Seeking the answers

Always finding love

Chorus 3

We found lines to cross or not

Everybody now knows them

We found lines to cross or not

Everybody can see them

We found lines to cross or not

Everybody will respect them

We found lines to cross or not

We’ve a lovely life together

Fine Lines
Great to hear you and Laura together again at MJ, Freddy. The toe tapping vibe is good counterpoint to the important questions posed in the lyrics. Wonderful arrangement, as always. Thanks to you both. Take care.

Fine Lines
jazzy in nature of course. however this also has a '60's pop style going for it as well. it wouldn't be out of place to hear on the radio back then. i enjoyed this. great team work!

A track from the vault!
Glad you dusted this off. Really like the main melody. Laura does a fine job herein. Harmonizes with herself very well! Even dig that horn!

Be well friend!
