Description
I have submitted this piece before, but I know my previous recordings were not up to par.
I think one special thing that I noticed about this recording is that it isn't as noisy in the background. I tried my best to keep the levels down with out clipping.
It helped to get further away from the two mics. I think it creates more ambience.
I went to one of the top guitar shops in the world in San Francisco and a guy there recommended I use light gauged strings instead of my medium gauged strings. I think that it not only helped with the tone but I really think it even helped eliminate major squeaks from sliding up and down the fretboard. It is much easier to press down on the fretboard now. It makes a world of difference because I don't have to press nearly as hard on the strings to get them pressed onto the fretboard. Actually I like the sound better because it gives my fingers more playing room.

Bill,
It sounds like you fixed all your problems. There is a
natural room echo now which gives it warmth. No string
noise either. I've been using light gaugue for a long time.
So much easier on your fingers.
