Description
A collaboration between me and drummer drlaine.
The main melody is Mozart's Sonata #1 in C Major. And there's a little bit of Eine Kleine Nachtmusik.
I am playing piano sounds "live" from Synthogy Ivory. I have to run it through Digital Performer, then export the audio so I can mix it all together in GB2. Synthogy does work for GB right now, at least not for me.
drlaine is playing real drums. I sent him my piano/bass file, and he sent me back a drum file, and I mixed it all together in GB2.
My piano playing is live, and in real time, but many of the phrases are alternate takes, and I pieced it all together from various takes. Hey, since I have a computer, why not?
drlaine and I have never met face-to-face. But it is great to have such a wonderful musician as a collab. partner.
The bass is from Sonic Boom Box, and is called "Jazz Double Bass Soft." Sometimes you can hear the buzzing of the string against the fingerboard. A pretty nice sound for this sort of track.
