from what I've read it would be available for download next week and you name your price. With the CD being available early December

well, you don't see that everyday

It's called inrainbows and is available for pre-order at the website of the same name - you can pay what you want for it when you pre-order - payment is optional. I gave 'em $10, which I thought was pretty fair.

You know what would be cool. If, say for instance, I loved a track of yours I downloaded - so much that I wanted to pay you for the track (s) so you can at least have a pint on me or something - or help you invest in making more great tunes (worthy cause). The value of music is relative. I have liked Radiohead for a along time now and value their music enough not to download it for free. This idea may shake the music industry. Its testing our Morals dont you think?

I wish they had started doing that from "Kid A" .. I'm giving that
one away for free, how about that! lol ...

Hmm, I wonder if it's available to download from an iTunes Italy store .. so we can go down to 1 Lire ;o)

Seriously, it's a cool idea+marketing gimmick etc .. interesting to
see if they keep it up ..

if the idea is to get more people who downloaded illegally to
download for legally for a pitance .. and trade that off with fans
who may be tempted to pay a bit less than they would normally...
it'll probably work out fine .. if it's a decent album, which I expect it will be.

Just need "Muse" to follow suit .. ;o)

Ya know I think its a geat Idea.. But one thing bothers me putting my info on line to pay. I know if someone wants to they can rob all your info anyway but I miss the old record store the big sleeve a record came in. To me part of the whole experience was to sit listen to the music and absorb every detail off the record cover.. call me crazy. The whole down load thing leaves me with a, something is missing feeling!
