Johnny Depp or David Bowie
Monday, December 24 2007 @ 06:26 PM CST

I just got back from watching Tim Burton's 'Sweeny Todd'

I was amazed by how much Johnny Depp's singing voice sounded like 'Anthony Newly period' David Bowie from the late 60's...

Highly recommend the film...but beware, it is VERY gory

Frown

I wanna see it, but I can't stand graphic scenes of violence or gore....stays with me forever.

They need to make non-graphic versions for wimps like me! Big Grin

Nothing beats Angela Lansbury in the original cast

LOL...I know. I was being sarcastic.

I did see the older version with Angela Lansbury. This new version is considerably more gory Wink

Angela is definitive in that role. I know Tim and Helena are all lovey dovey but I'll have to see her to believe her since currently I doubt. I was down with Johnny (er, so to speak) as soon as I heard about that though.

Can't wait to see it this week.
