RIP "Fats" Domino
Saturday, October 28 2017 @ 10:35 AM CDT

Legendary Rock & Roll pioneer Antoine "Fats" Domino died earlier this week at age 89 of natural causes.

His unique blend of traditional R&B and New Orleans-inspired Boogie-Woogie styles were integrated into the seminal Rock & Roll of the early 1950s with such hits as "Blueberry Hill" and "Ain't That a Shame."

An inaugural member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, Fats sold more records than any 1950s artist except Elvis Presley. But even Elvis cited Fats as an influence and as "... the true *King* of Rock & Roll."

I meant to post this earlier last week, but this site was acting up. Theres some neat information about him and his career if anyone is interested-

I noticed that the New Orleans Saints had the word "Fats" on their helmets yesterday during the game.

If I can't fix it, it ain't broke

Legendary indeed and even though he was of a time when so many great artists were 'on the scene', he definitely stood out as a wonderful 'favourite'....God bless him for the happiness he brought to so many people.
In the LSP contribution thing Macjams did some years ago, I did a song dedicated to him, which nobody guessed , apart from Ibstrat (Mark) :http://www.macjams.com/song/37293

It's never too late.... is it?
