Where to find software instruments?
Thursday, March 18 2004 @ 01:19 AM CST

Does anyone know where I can find software instruments to add to GarageBand? I have found the Ontology ones and a few others, but I have never found any of the missing classic band/orchestra instruments, like trumpet, oboe, trombone, violin, cello, french horn, xylophone, etc. Most of the instruments seem to be more "cool" and synthetic, beside the included saxophones and flute.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I would really like to be able to use some more normal instruments if anyone knows where I could find some.

I too share your query but I have found several software packages with more instruments and effects. Apple has one for $99 called the Jam Pack, there are several listed on this site but they all cost money. I want to know where the free ones are.
