Omega Tau: synths
Thursday, July 05 2018 @ 09:05 PM CDT
"Omega Tau" is a science and engineering podcast that takes very deep dives into subjects via long format interviews with working experts.
In his second episode dealing with synthesizers the host, Marcus, interviews Julian Parker, an engineer at Native Instruments. They discuss analog emulation in great detail with some really interesting audio examples along the way. If you are interested in synthesizers, convolution filters, or sound modeling I think you'll find this episode an enjoyable listen. It dips into some hardcore tech-talk, but it's accessible enough to anyone who has spent time twiddling the dials on a synth plugin. http://omegataupodcast.net/286-software-analog-effects/ |
