Looks interesting. Anybody have any experience with this software?
Heard about it on NPR this morning . There will be a show about online jamming on NPR next week.

there was some sort of software that does this (minus the community aspect of this site); saw it on dontcrack.com recently. i think it is like a music version of IM. i am intrigued, but can't realistically see it working for me with my schedule. really neat though.

Is it audio or is it MIDI?

If audio, I doubt the internet latency supports it yet.

If MIDI, it might work (think VONAGE), but there will still be occasional pauses that screw it all up.

We're not there yet.

I have jammed using this site/application and it worked pretty well! It took sometime to find a good partner. By " good partner" I mean someone who has a good equipment and internet connection. Otherwise there will be some lag. BUt it is not as bad as you would think.

You can use the support and the guys behind the site are very proactive. I exchanged e-mail with them quite some time ago. (when i was setting up my connection)

There is even an old forum post here at macjams about ejamming. I posted it.

I haven't used for a while though... i changed from PC to Mac and haven't had the time/desire to install it yet.

It worked for audio and midi.

Give it a try with patience. Specially if you don;t have many partners to jam with locally or if you dig mixing different sound cultures (you can jam with people all over the world!)

Let me know how it goes.
