These boots look great! I haven’t worn boots since the Army. Okay, it was Army JROTC in high school, but you get the drift.

It was the same year I met my ex, Deanna Sue. I was walking by Pottery class when the kiln exploded and I managed to drag her and the other 4 classmates out of the portable before it was engulfed in flame.

Deanna Sue said I was a hero. That would be the last time she ever complimented me. We were married a year later and I put college on hold for good.

Anyway, you know the rest of the story, the drunken brawls, hysteric crying, her asking me not to cry hysterically.

Nice boots.

You guys do know those boots are Woman Repellers(tm), right? Smile

Ms L, you just ain't been to enough rodeos to understand.

Round here anyone with the nerve to wear boots like that (we call 'em 'never get lost in the dark' boots) has to fight off any woman with the same shoe size. But then anyone who thinks walking down the street in a wrecked T-shirt, bald, with a beer belly and thinking you're sexy is a priviledge only reserved for men hasn't visited the brutal North, and can't be expected to understand.

JM Seed,

You tell a story so dear to all of us, except for the details. Sorry to hear about the kiln.

This also makes me think of Nancy Sinatra's song, "You Only Live Twice".
