Jonx album!!!
Friday, December 15 2017 @ 03:06 PM CST

Hi all,
If you don't know the name jonx, he's a Macjams alumni who riveted this site during the 2005-2007 era. Honestly, I have to say when I first heard Jon's tunes here, I was completely floored. I thought, "Is that Cat Stevens just farting around at Macjams? This was an artist who seemed so complete and radio ready, I couldn't believe he was hanging around an amateur musician music sharing site.

If you were here back then, you obviously remember him. Jon is one of a handful of artists that I was in awe over. Of course, there are hundreds of great tunes on Macjams. But this guy was posting amazing song after amazing song. Great voice, great progressions, great musicianship, great recordings

Here's the only song of his still here. It's called Mockingbird. He collaborated with Mcboy. lol...obviously Mcboy, killer guitar superstar, has a professional jazz music career. He was also extremely approachable, always sending amazing music beds to many Macjammers to collaborate with. Very nice and the coolest cat around Sadly he took lots of his music down and is no longer around. Jonx also took his music down and isn't active.

Here's there song together:

Here's Jon's album link. The song "The Shallow End" blows me away. He goes by the name Cotton:

This is terrific. I looked for clues to jonx dozens of times....I've got a pretty full jonx playlist from back in the day...

Thanks you for finding him, and this.

Hi Ed!
Yes, I too have spend some time nosing around for Jonx tracks. I got lucky and found some at First&Bloom records. One song 'Horses Ready' is amazing. I got curious and emailed the record company asking about Jon. The owner, Guy Capecelatro, emailed me back and said he and Jon were friends. He gave me Jon's email and I got in touch with him. He's a very cool cat. He writes lots and lots of songs. I believe he has a landscaping company, which gives him winters off.

I don't think he actively promotes his music, like playing out or touring. He just writes and records amazing stuff.

here's a link to that compilation album with horses ready on it
