Description
(Two parts to the guitar piece)
Celebration - 3/4 of the tune
Anticipation of the Nationals - glass slide effect

Last Saturday night my 19 year old son won his first teenage bodybuilding competition. It was a great thrill for my wife and I. We hugged each other right after the win. He competed with 4 guys, one of the competitor's father owned a gym and he seemed pretty confident. When I was younger have been plagued a lot of my life with competing in sports and seeing the teams head coach's father or the parents influence in high school sports. So this was a sweet win for my son and especially for wife and I.

Next week at the Nationals in Pittsburg Pa.
My son will be competing against teenagers he thinks will be on steriods.
He is a trainer and he understand the tell-tail signs of steriod use. He has seen pictures of some of his competitors and is pretty sure there could be problems.

So the music is based on our celebration, his celebration of winning. Our family going out to dinner right after the show, the win. It was a real joy.

***There is a slide part that you will hear that is serious in nature, the anticipation etc. The not knowing of what is going to happen. The sinking feeling of him having the good probability of having to compete against, teenagers using steriods :( The slide is also the determination of doing and working out the best he can. Which he does beyond belief.

The small image to the right is the trophy he won. This is his first trophy he ever won for bodybuilding.

Pardon the picture quality, I was in the balcony section.

Very inspirational piece
Really enjoyed this one, Bill. Excellent song description.
I'm sure many of us listening understand the joy and
anxiety of watching our kids compete, succeed and fail.
Good luck next week. Let us know how it comes out.

Thanks Tom
This will be a tough one for sure. Lots of challenges. He has
great people working with him. An associate that he works
with at the gym is a former Mr.San Francisco and Mr. Nevada,
he is Will's mentor. He won the over 50's category at the
same event.

Thanks Tom for stopping by!

Sweet
I really like the feeling this one gives me. Could be that I
have a history with Takamine acoustics and dig the sound.
This would be an excellent bed for any movie or DV
footage. One of my guilty pleasures is John Denver and
this reminds me of one off the Wild Life Concert that he
did. Really and uplifting and hopeful piece you have. I
wish your son the best of luck, and he's lucky to have a
Dad that's into what he does! Way to go-

Sweet
Thanks, he is really gearing up for this even. It is going to a tough one. But he
should get some real learning experiences from this and I think alot of it can be
good for him.

The Takamimi is a nice one, not as good as the guitar I have been looking at but
it does ok.

Thanks for posting

Excellent
playing, like usual. Great story; congratulations to your son! Best of luck in Pittsburgh... if someone on steroids wins instead, at least your son's conscience is clean. That's one cool looking trophy he's got!

Excellent
He is pretty sure one guy is on steriods cause he has the bloated stomach. They
get that when they take too much hormones and steriods. He is a trainer and he
has been around the best and understands this quite a bit. It is sad, but there is
no abuse of steriod like the body building industry.
He doesn't drink or smoke. When all the guys are out partying and drinking he
is at the gym workin out! I know because he lives at home.

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!
