a lesson of rock 'n' roll

if you wanna be a rocker, be the king of the dudes
when you get up in the morning, the first thing should do
is poor yourself a drink and light a cigarette
and dance around naked because you are free
call up your boss and tell him: "this is it
I'm going to leave"

if you wanna be a rocker, pull something good out of that sleeve
turn up the volume
turn it up and and feel

i wanna
rock "n" roll

if you wanna be a rocker and live like a star
if you wanna change your life and become who you really are
behind the black eyeliner there's nothing but love
leather and boots is also rock 'n' roll
jim beams and bars, girls and cars
bikes named harley, will all take you far
so call up your boss and say "f-ck you!"
call him up and say: "rock 'n' roll"

That's it!
I need to follow your advice for sure. In some ways this reminded me of Dylan. You are entirely creative and enjoyable :)

UT, Oh
Your wit often is Tongue In Cheek, is this an Epitaph?

Love the jostling attitude and Lyric. Production Values, as always, are

In 1967, when the Byrds came at this topic, they were, like, Serious.

Thanks for another fine piece of exploration and observations.

Organ Orgaz
Loved the way it starts with what sounds like a harmonica and an alises. Very progressive build to good o'l Rock. Nice Job.

nice contrast
Nice constrast between the verse and chorus...it helps
make the chorus ROCK!

Yeah, this dream is sort of dead...or is it? I'm gonna call

Thanks everyone
This dream is not dead to me, of course there's an underlaying meaning
behind the words and they are not to be taken exaclty as written. It's
more about a feeling. For example a political song of me talks about
freedom, this one does too, while this one was done in a mood of
partying. You wake up and you are in THAT mood. What to do? Remove
the mood and say it's naive? Make a song directly about it? I am as
serious as the Byrds but naturally on a different level and in our time. Of
course, attitude like this does best on the stage in a small crowded room.
I'll invite you all when that day (sorry, night) arrives! :)

I like the harmonica, maybe goes on for too long at the start. Love the
chorus and back-up vocals. Nice playing.

How can you...
...not like this song? It just cuts to the heart of the matter. You
know, one thing that makes your tunes so darn likable is the fact
that they are all so honest and unpretentious. Also, it helps that
you are a talented, versatile musician... quite creative with one
heck of a characteristic singing voice... I guess that counts too...!
