Very Well Done
The singing is great, the music fits.

Some hiss, but that is probably intended, as is sweeps in and out. I'm just
a hissophobe.

I liked this one.

Moody, religious, forceful, passionate
Very cool. Nice heartbeat, tasty sounds framing the whole thought,
excellent vocals. Consider posting your lyrics, as they are nice to study.
More than Pop. Moody, religious, forceful, passionate.

Interesting ambience; a strong show-tune
This song's opening surprises you, with a lush string-pad texture overlaid by a curiously filtered, slightly dissonant (but intentionally so...) vocal with echoes. When the song "lets loose" into the first chorus at 1:23, it's a pleasant musical surprise. There is a little bit of an "edge" to this recording, a feeling of being wedged into the mid-range and high treble on the mix with a little lack-of-attention to the bass register ... I wish that the choir didn't always follow the melody-line quite so strictly at times ... but maybe that's just me. The song progresses interestingly and logically, as does the story being told by the lyric.

This song, both in its structure and in its final denouement of the lyrics, is clearly for a musical. As such, it reminds me a lot (and in a very favorable way) of Judas' theme in "Jesus Christ Superstar," and the vocals especially at the end remind me very strongly of Carl Anderson's recordings in that role.

I started out thinking, okay, this guy’s got a good voice, not really sure where this is going….then WHAMMMM! I am hooked in and drowning in the awesomeness of this song. Nice execution on all levels. I’m your newest fan!

Amazing lyrics
I've "fav'd" this "discovery from the random song-picker" for a very long time ... yet, every time I listen to it (again), I find more and more in the lyrics, and in their presentation.

Listening to this, in good studio headphones for the first time ...
... I am struck by the similarity between the singer’s sentiments in this song, and the attitudes expressed by Judas in “I Only Wanna Know” from Jesus Christ Superstar.
