An oldie, but a goodie....lyrics by Yip Harburg, music by Jay Gorney
sorry - i just couldn't keep MY gob shut!!! komrade k did this fiddle track when he heard my (caroline's) version of this song with guitar - i saved it and he said that we could use it here - thank you martyn xox
also - all things being equal and truthful... i must thank chad miller and amanda wheeler for the passion they gave me (caroline) to sing this song this time around - cheers you two x
Given that Alfalpha did the entire arrangement in a very small amount of time,he came up with the 'electronica' idea, I should really thank him for this entire version....he had to spend heaps of time editing the violin part, as well as having to edit my voice so it actually was in time to his whole arrangement....enjoy!
Oh, btw, check out alfalpha on this website! He arranges for many artists on this site....(as well as playing 'session muso'...dig deep!

choly and charming.....good production and I really enjoy the vox...very dirty and real....great mysterious and sparse arrangement...the groove rolls nicely and I love the distance that the verb gives the voice....almost haunting and yet remains candid...one of the more unique pieces I've heard here....this is really great work
