Lyrics

I am a man doing the only way that I can
And she was just a girl when she came into and shook up my whole world
And w e were instant friends when she opened up and let me all up in
And then she closed the door, leaving me right here holding on for more

Chorus:
please, set me free
from the wicked spell
that got a hold of me
Please, set me free
from this wicked spell
you must have put on me.

When I see her around, all over town, I just don’t act myself
When she is wearing a frown, I still feel down, I am beside myself
The one thing I really need is just to be free to let go the memory
Of we cause now that’s just me and that’ would be fine by me, if you would just let me be

Chorus:

Chorus 2:
You know you’ve got to let it go
Thie wicked hold you’ve got on me
You know that it’s the best approach
Don’t you want to breathe?
Baby I just want to breathe.

You know I wish you the best, you should let it rest, start living again
the sea, goes on endlessly, soon you will see, if you start swimming again
There is no more to say, baby it was great, but the season has changed
In time you will realize it’s not about right, sometimes people change

Chorus:

Chorus 2:

Really excellent song..
Bob you've got a way about your singing and your well constructed, not overdone instrumentals that make for a real nice song. The chorus seems ideal for some "island" type vocal harmonies... to just give it a bit more of that fun, spirited reggae feel. Love what you've done here.

style
nice vocals that fit the style. don't generally listen to the genre but this seems rather well put together. i like the chorus. during the 2nd chorus i think it could be sung with more passion to make it really stand out in the song maybe. nice track.

Solid tune, lovely
Lovely feel and writing. Vocals seem a tad too high, too much reverb on
backing music (in my ears), makes it seem like a Karaoke thing instead of
an onstage Reggae performance. But a really strong tune. Consider
redoing it with a true Reggae edge and less MIDI sound. Solid writing. Or
maybe you can sell it to Harry Belafonte! (Even tho I dig your vocals.)
