Lyrics
About a girl

Dancing out of breath
on stage for the men
their clutching a dollar
so you come a little closer

and you have to
that's what you do
that's what you(r) paid for
you have no choice

falling on your knees a 1000 times
gives you bruises to match that soul you compromised
so far
your OK
the streets were cold in a different way

you used to sleep behind the church
with a backpack under your head

There are bigger things to be afraid of
and your clutching your dollar thrills
you dream of bigger things that your made of
but you never get past last month's bills

(at break)
Have you ever felt freedom, like the deep desert sky
so black it goes on forever, so open you can't hide
Have you ever felt calm, like deep inside when you cry
When you feel close to your longing and far away from your pride

falling on your knees a 1000 times
gives you bruises to match that soul you compromised
so far
your OK
the streets were cold in a different way

Dancing out of breath
on stage for the men
their clutching a dollar
so you come a little closer

and you have to
that's what you do
that's what you(r) paid for
you have no choice

There are bigger things to be afraid of
and your clutching your dollar thrills
you dream of bigger things that your made of
but you never get past last month's bills

REPEAT CHORUS

great voice
great voice and the lyrics are great but in my honest opinion the music
didnt match. The lyrics are pretty dark and the music sounds happy and
uplifting.Try something more sombre. You still have a great voice.

wonderful voice
I like this song a lot, your vocals are superb... personally would slightly
change the theme as joeyjojo said above, building something fresh with
pads and atmo around your voice, that still remains wonderful...

Im not an expert...
...but I liked it. There could have been a more serious tone to the music. I think the lyrics and the vocals are on point. I suppose since its about a stripper you wanted some stripper-like music for the song, but I dont think of a stripper in a strip club; more like a dancer in a cage at a rave.

I sort of agree
I thought the kind of...joyful melody with the dark lyrics was a cool
paradox i guess...
But the lyrics were cool and I liked the background beats, and piano...
Interesting composition
