This was one of my first "decent" compositions, and I think it still stands as one of my best. This was penciled in using garageband. The artwork was created with Photoshop. I suppose it represents the abstract and nebulous nature of the piece.

Very soothing, very relaxing - excellent work, Jason. I'm sure you'll go far on MacJams - an excellent start. I'll certaintly be watching you. ;)

another meditative piece
Very nice chord progressions.

But sometimes the chord voicings sounded somewhat thick and "mooshy", and the string sound came off sounding a bit synthesized.

Were you using the regular string sounds in GB or JamPack 4? JP4 is well worth the investment, especially for your kind of orchestral ear.

The ending to this piece, as in one of your other submissions, was rather abrupt and didn't resolve the earlier material.

That being said, you do have a good talent for chords and creating a mood, and I look forward to hearing more of your work.

Very nice piece.
I enjoy what my music ed. prof called 'taking a tone bath' on occasion. That is what this is for me: soothing chords with well-timed progressions. I thought this would be beautiful for a clean soprano vocal line to improvise over. Oh- and I also love the graphic!
