Awww, how special!
My 2nd grandson, Cody Ray, was born on Dec. 21st. I was there to witness the miracle of birth. Thank you, Stephen, for this touching song of that awesome gift from God. I will copy this to CD to give to my daughter. Thank you, that was lovely. :-)

Wow Steve...
...you are not only talented but exceedingly generous as well. The gift of song about the gift of life. Nice melody. I like your voice.

Be well!

Hi Mike!
Thank you!
I did have quite a cold at the time and I wondered if I should re-record it. I am note sure about this though. Perhaps if I did it may lose the overall feel of the piece. So reading your comment on the vocal suggests to me that I should leave it as!
Thanks again.

not even a cold can hold him back
Pretty amazing work there, especially given your temporary ailment! Very nice soft melody and instrumentation (nice simple piano work that doesn't interfere with the singing), good singing, and such a noble cause... there's a bit of backkground hiss from somewhere, and the ending cuts off a little abruptly, but otherwise I can think of nothing to say except how wonderful it is to create a song for a new-found friend's granddaughter.

Thanks Steve!
I am Roxylee's daughter. Thank you very much, Steve, for the lovely song. Cody Ray is truly a gift from God and he enjoys listening to this in the car. You have a soothing voice.
And Drakonis, Cody Ray is Roxy's grandSON. LOL

This is Nice
You should tighten this one up and do a new version. It's pretty good. Having a nice singing voice helps a lot, too!

very pretty
piano sounds very sparse and the chords are well chosen. i like how your voice is a little raspier than usual. the song is just super pretty. don't think you need another version to perfect this, but alternate versions are always cool as another way of looking at things. i could hear the vocal track over a lo-fi recording of an old chord organ. nice job.
