Description
I suppose this is sort of a mix between classical orchestral music and electronica. I wanted this piece to be more of an expression than a composition. It could easily be classified as a film score or even a game soundtrack. As a side note, this is the first piece that I got to incorperate sounds from my new microKORG keyboard.

lush
First off that intro was incredible. And it just seemd to climb from there. You show a wonderful ability to blend different genre's. The string lines (strings from the new Korg?) and builds were genuinely moving. They evoked emotion, made me day dream in the epic way. I could see this being the 1st in a multi part composition.

It soars
This track captures a current and glides, then the heart-stiring drums sends it above the clouds. Very nice. Just the right variations, details.

Swirling
Nice swirling sprawling swaying composition. Makes me want to run out to get me a microKorg. I have been looking at them recently. Great artwork. Reminds me of the space race. Thanks for sharing.

shows your range
Great sentimentality and drama in this music. I find those critter-like computer sounds a little bit disturbing and incongruous at first, but then it gradually fits into the futuristic theme of this piece as it progresses. This is a departure from your usual high-energy manic tunes, but it does show what you are capable on the other end of the dynamic scale. I wanna hear more of this style, Joel.

Starting point?
A HUUUUUUUUGE sound here! Clear as a bell and with enough changes to keep things interesting. This would have to be the first in a series fo sure - so many good ideas ending so soon.
Excellent,
Neil

This Is Great!
I remember watching Space:1999 when I was a kid, transfixed whenever the Eagles were getting ready for liftoff... (Eagle One to Base, I have no liftoff! (Stand by for controlled liftoff, Eagle One) Roger, Base) Great stuff, boy...

To this day I'm a sucker for anything involving spaceships, cool planes, jets, rockets... I'll be heading through the living room & my wife'll be watching TV, and she'll mention what a great show it is. I'll ask if there's spaceships in it, half-joking. She'll give me the LOOK. I've tried to explain that it's not just the spaceships or the planes, the afterburners lighting up or the shock diamonds... it's that wonderful sense of 'up, up and away' that goes back to Buck Rogers, goofy coloured helmets and DANGER DANGER ROGER WILCO, etc etc. Can't truly explain it.

Your music really takes me to that state of mind. Sentimental and exciting... thanks for the ride.

Monumental
Joel,
This is amazing. Incredible warmth and drama in the strings in the beginning, great emotional build. Then the drums kick in and that tight snare has an really cool ring to it, one shot, very crisp. I wanted this track to go on for about 15 minutes. seriously. and you can put money on it I don't say that very often.

What sound sculpture
Neat sound sculpture, AJ. That intro sounds like the first few bars of Dvorak's New World Symphony, the familiar Largo movement. And there's R-2 D-2 trying to sing along! The strings are well-played, and add so much to the mix. Love the interplay between the long string lines and the percussion.

Yes, it could easily be a sci-fi score, as your cover art seems to hint at. You've got great composing and arranging chops.
