Description
My first post here of the noisier side of Norton Disney. This song is about barely controlled frustration - amply demonstrated in the vocal, which was done in a single, infuriated, take - dry in the verses, ADT'd in the choruses. (After several aborted attempts to describe frustration over what, without giving the plot away, I've decided you can make your own minds up - that's the whole idea anyway; misdirection.)

The whole thing goes for the throat in a none-too-subtle way, no bridges, no m8 relief, just straight from almost whispered verse to yelled chorus.

Lyrics
You say you're busy but you'll try & make Wednesday
I sit & wait like I expect you to call
Anticipation is like waiting on eggs here
Now Wednesday's gone & I've heard nothing at all

short Ch.
You say you're not around on Monday, Tuesday
Wednesday's why I'm waiting in

I try to call you but you've got it on voicemail
I text & email but you never reply
Now call me stupid but there's one little detail
There's only seven days for me to try

Ch.
You say you're not around on Monday, Tuesday
Wednesday's why I'm waiting in
Not Thursday Friday Sat or Sunday
OK.
Then Monday just comes round again.

It's not important but I'd like to resolve this
We've reached an impasse & I don't mean the hall
Although I could pretend that I couldn't care less
But it was you who instigated it all

Ch

So it comes down like this, the future is set now
The perfect place to live a life on your own
Communication seems unlikely at best now
So my solution is to throw out the phone

Ch.

Solution
"So my solution is to throw out the phone..." Ah, to so many things! May your advise be applied to many more problems... especially by other people on the Metro! Another solid track.

MJ-ers - check this out!
All Pro, fine work.

I wrote that subject line, by the way, so visitors to the MJ home page would read it at least for the short time this note shows-up before scrolling down. It's just crazy that only Tobin noticed this when it came up. But at least you've got his VERY REAL set of pro ears, worth dozens of MJ-ers' comments.

I've bookmarked you so I can remember to come back and listen. Good luck with the album sales.

Late to the Party
Well, I guess i'm late to the party, but I really like this song. Good lyrics, melody and production. Better late than never.

Recently finished my first album in years with my new band, Norton Disney. It's called 'Less'. I've been away from it all for a long time, & this is a zero-budget, DIY, home-produced & recorded project. Managed to get it accepted onto iTunes Music St... [see more]
