LIOLI #4 - Train of Thought

Description
This is my humble entry into LIOLI #4.

Once again I have fraciously embraced the loop.

However I also found that the piano loop can also be used to sound like a train whistle when used with tenor sax.

I decided to take song titles and phrases from various train songs and make a "conversation" between two voices. Perhaps it is my multiple personality disorder. (Hey! Just because I hear voices in my head doesn't mean they don't have some good ideas!)

Anyways! See if you recognize the song titles or phrases.

I created the guitar solo using the pencil tool in the loop editor.
Lastly...

Thanks to The Freesound Project for providing the train loop available at http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/samplesViewSingle.php?id=25068

Yeah, I like it.
At least 2 "trains" are a talkin', each using their own version of the piano loop at one point as well. One sounds like a carnival train. :)

Yesss...
This is great and very entertaining... clever too. Good title also, since there seem to be a few train inspired songs on MJ at the moment... must be a psychic train of thought LOL, M

Stooey - you're too much!
Leave to you to "have fun with it". Other people have taken a slightly whimsical approach to the project - but not quite like this. A lttle Firesign theatre action. Cool.

Choo Choo... Shoe Shoe?
You get more than a few gold stars for this, Stooey, as well as my personal, rarely-awarded "Chocolate Rabbits Sailing Out To Sea" award for sheer wackiness, to brandish in the stern face of unneccesary seriouness!

Before Garageband, all I could play was a stereo! I love it. It gives me a way to express myself artistically. Something I wasn't supposed to do when I was trying to be an athlete. For anyone who cares, I used to be a goaltender. I don't feel tha... [see more]
