The Migraine from Hell!

This is really an out take that seems to sound OK if listened to with both 'lo-fi' and severe migraine in mind. It's a proper tune and vocals but 'twisted' somewhat to try and create a soundscape of order underlaying a sort of mental torture. It's similar all the way through as the tablets haven't kicked in as such.

At the time I mixed this I had proper words and a proper song but the details left me with the particular headache.

Sorry if it sounds crap!! It was a really bad migraine.

Anyway it is an experiment and some come out bad and some just don't make it high enough to be bad.

i like
it, it's really wierd; really like the synth stabs that sound like Prince. This is very soundtrack-ey to me, except the abrupt ending. should have milked that headache a little longer.

The Prince bit tickled me.....
Thanks Michael for you comments/observations.

I've always liked Prince, even seeing him live at Man. City, but I hadn't noticed the possible link. I guess I'll have to listen to it again. Now where are those headache tablets (that incidentally never give you a headache. Strange thing to call them if they don't do what it says on the box).

The piece is really made from a collection of what I can only term 'high energy' loops that, when listened to in sequence and at random, sound like music from a nightmare production of a Broadway musical, in that they have that 'formulaic sound' or something very similar to most tunes you can think of with the singer/s sounding just as you'd imagine they would sound. Even the quiet loops have energy that stirs me as I listen.

Luckily I think I've only another 5 of these type of tunes so we'll all soon be out of my misery.

Take care.
