Curiously Addictive
Hi Anreas,

Been listening to quite a bit of your stuff recently, and this is excellent, as are your other uploads.

This reminds me of Satie in places - but then goes off on a bit of a tangent into the more discordant sections.

You have the masters control of mood swings and you create a wonderful medley of the sweet and sour. And your playing is superb (I presume you are playing and not using the dreaded pen tool?)

Out of interest, how are you recording your stuff? In GB? Listening to your orchestral pieces I'm amazed at the richness of the orchestrations you are getting - sure you're not hiring the LSO on the sly?

Great stuff, anyway -

Hi Phil,
I don't work with the pen tool, no way. Everything is played by hand on my piano into GB. I play every part in the orchestral scores as well one by one into GB, choosing a good instrument (which is not only from the jam packs, but from all kind of sound fonts), and adjust little things by hand like long chords that needs cresc or decres. It's a lot of work but I am very happy with the results. When pieces are to difficult to play in tempo, I record them slow and then increase the tempo in GB.

full measure
I agree - sounds like Erik Satie. Does that also make you a "gymnopedist" and a "phonometrician"?

Exquisite composing and playing, André. I predict great things for you.

how are you?
I never saw myself as a Satie follower, but maybe this has something of him. The last movement will be a little wilder though...
