Description
During 2000 I had no gear to record music. Instead I had nice days penciling music with the great app Melody Assistant'. I made about 20 compositions during that time. This one was the best of them. Now my son, MJ:er 'Mackie', has urged me to post it because he think it is the best thing I've ever done. Thank you Mackie!

In 2000, as a beginner at computer aided music making, of course I found the sea-wave sounds found in Melody Assistant fascinating. It was a new dimension to be able to pencil notes for sea waves, hig and low, short and long.

HAVET is Swedish for 'The Sea'.

Photo: Not from a real sea but from a big lake; Vättern. I took it on a cold day through a train window about a week ago.

Very nice
Great arrangement and great sounds you've got here. Lovely changes and sweet, effective melody. Majesty and strength come through this for me. Nicely done. Peace.

Interesting...
but what might make this REALLY interesting, Johannes, is if you put a guitar part over this soundbed.

I can hear it... can't you? ;)

Eat your cake and Havet too...
Thanks to Mackie from me too! I'm glad you were persuaded to share this with us. It's lovely, majestic, and deep, like the sea itself.

It's a real treat to hear any of your music, but the fact that this is a composed piece that doesn't involve the guitar at all makes this quite different from many of your submissions, and I'm really impressed!

Oh, and sorry for not being around when this was first posted! Glad I caught it now, though.
