Trying to get a little atmospheric here. This song went through quite a few changes. Still a work in progress, mainly need a final vocal take and some fine tuning.

You left it in the way you said hello
a twinkle in your eye
that everything would end the way it did
that I could never let it go
now we try and fall on our swords
I can carry more

looking through the wrong end of the lens
everything's so far away
the trouble and the pleasure
the fashion and the lie
the rhythms from the corner
the timing of the end
words of conflict everyone knows
games of parting blows
you fade a little (x4)

restoration and enlightenment
the conversation's old
the preacher and the bottle
the farmer and the field
the frozen ground between the thought and deed
simple things that add up to this
chaos theory, bird in the hand
you fade a little (etc)

This is so soothing and melodic. Work in progress you say? I think it is great the way it is. Thanks for sharing it with us.

My parents were both music teachers, so playing instruments was mandatory in our house. I was started on the violin at the tender age of five. Since my father was the conductor of the school orchestra, I became the jack-of-all-trades for the group. B... [see more]
