Description
A cover of tempies song "Heartbreaker" (http://www.macjams.com/song/46271). We were both admiring of each others "breakup" country songs posted here. I asked tempie if I could have a go at a new vocal for his track. This is the result. I added the guitar solo at the end and all the vocals are mine. The original music tracks are as tempie recorded them apart from the end which I've had a bit of a play around with in terms of arrangement.
This was my first collaboration attempt of any sort and I'm very happy with it. It's been a learning experience, we've both seen how the other works and I've certainly had my eyes opened to the power of layered arrangements. I may be less inclined to just hammer out the song from here on!
Please enjoy.

I think the approach that you took to the song is just great man, the phrasing and backups and guitar work...I think that your changes help realize what I had originally intended to be the emotional impact of the tune - the best heart break songs are narrated with a combination of disappointment, anger, and sadness and you've managed to convey that. I really like how defiant the solo is at the end - I think it really wraps things up. Thanks for liking the tune and wanting to sing it!
