i am carelessness, and i dance around in your head
i’m that brief interruption in your mental process
i am unwanted at best

i am naivety, and i believe just about anything
i’m the fool that allows you to feel first love’s gentle sting
i am responsible for pain

Well I doubt you’ve ever seen me, and you’ll never guess my name
but i’m the ceaseless pointing finger always searching for someone to blame

i am hypocrisy, and i don’t think i’m responsible for me
i’m the politicians telling us that we need integrity
i am a liar it seems

i am indifferent, i’ll say i cared alot but really didn’t
i’m the feeling that you get when your one chance came and left
i am void of all regrets

And there’s nothing you can do to be rid of me
i am to you what salt is to the sea
i’m that gap in your breathing, or that pain in your side
i’m whatever you want me to be, i am subject to your mind

Well I doubt you’ve ever seen me, and you won’t recognize my face
but i’m the shadow walking closely to you in the ally ways
i am with you forever and always

i am a mystery, and i wrap myself around you so tightly
i’m the problems you can’t solve that keep you far away from sleep
i am never ending
oh i am never ending

you have such a great voice, but the ocean of sounds overpowers you. i realy like your voice, your straightforward writing style. but you have so many words and if i want to listen to them i have to fight against the arrangement. otherwise, i really like where you are going with these songs.

Another solid inventive tune
Interesting textures. Another great song and inventive
track. For the most part, the mix is good, and I like
the large sense to the chorus behind you, but the banjo
thing seems less than optimal, kind of
unnecessarily frenetic. I love the space you leave in other
places. The use of string is effective, but the sandpaper
snare grates (to me) in an up front way that also seemed
counterproductive. But this is another solid tune. I like
the lyrics.

So grand in scope!
Consequently, I really, really like that arpeggiated
instrument... and actually wanted to hear more of it! The
chorus vocals are tremendous. Sorry to compare, but this
is slightly reminiscent of the Manic Street Preachers. Ever
heard of them? I really dig the lyrics as well -- complex,
yes, but you sing them with articulation and conviction.
Very, very good work!

Good work
The arpegiated sequence (banjo maybe?) in the chorus
was just too overpowering. I love the back up vocal,
childrens choir, sound. how did you get that effect? I also
thought that the drum mastering could use some work.
But all in all great song, and great lyrics.
