Do It For Me (w/ Ramonaji)

Description
This track was written by Ramonaji. Ramona was nice enough to send me aif files of the vocal, music, and drum tracks, over which I added bass. Having the aif files allowed a little more flexibility in mixing the overall sound of the instruments around her voice. This is a hard hitting rock, dance, and house groove and was bunches of fun. I hope you enjoy it and your comments are much appreciated.

Hurry, just do it...
OK, OK! Such an insistent track... I did it! (commented, that is... what were YOU thinking?) This is great... the driving echoey music and overtly sexy singing really gets under your skin. A little muddy with the echo/reverb at times, but then, that adds to the feeling of intoxication, and may be standard for this genre (I've not listened to much club/house music, so I'm out of my element here.)

Did it!
Drak, thanks for the feedback! Yes, I did just about everything I could to clean out the mix, to the point of almost having to much treble in the overall mix, to reduce muddiness. The problem is the actual sound of the drums is a bit muddy and then Ramona's vocals are very deep sounding so they are down there at times in the bass drum frequencies. It is very challenging to mix this stuff, since there are sounds going all over the spectrum. To get it right on the money, i would need the garage band file rather than just the aif files. But, ya know, it is still pretty cool and I could tweak it for weeks! Eventually, ya gotta post it!

Big Thumb
Boy you must have a big thumb, but then you are a bass master, Andrew. This is a funky sexy little beast and needs to be disciplined. Off to the 'special' room. This is HOT!
