untitled adventures in a dusty room

a very good friend gave me a file with this great selfmade basslick and the drums...
i wondered what to do with it... i added delayed drums and two guitarlines...
suddenly i had a cool atmosphere around...
i searched my old poems for a lyric that could work and i think i´ve found it...
and now here we are...
i wrote this poem 15 years ago...

hope you enjoy it!

shhht... listen:

dark caves, children...
flowers on graves...
hidden in a touch...

what would you do?

we hang around
shuffled together our last dope...
laughed about derogative comments from the voice on tv
thought about war,
about decay...
the hope of a mother to see her kids again...

and we let the pipe turn around...

we were a bit scared
we couldn´t close the door in head...
that sometimes open and let you have
a glimpse onto your private personality...

in one corner of the room
time and space became blurred...

movements like waves
on hard concrete...

we both can see it
no bad feelings anymore against
people who doesn´t know much about
other sides...

the door opened...

i have seen how the door opened and
unprincipled human crowd assumed shape...
and behind that
there were the full colored world of spectral lights...

the unpricipled man (it was a male - i´m sure about it...)
waved us to come in...

the rest a dream of prospective memories...

a lovepoem...
an ode to death...

you´re in your room and somebody´s coming in
make FLIP

and you´re sitting in a racecar at full speed...

what would you do?

imagine the bomb is exploding...
a blue whale swims through your room...
death is only a joke...
and somebody is chasing you at night...
with an axe

imagine you cannot loose anything anymore
not even your pride
or the wisdom of an indian
though this one here...
this indian here
is just a cheap copy, a relict...
a ripoff of a human association
that has drowned the same way as we will
but we
will just leave a desert

or everything will be flushed with human excrements
the world drowned in all that crap...
of all the ideas
of the last generation...

we got to die first
before we understand
a glimpse...

what would you do?

(get out... get out... down to the shore...)

(into the sun...)

(fade out...)

Hi Guys.......
Loved the lyrics. Almost Doors.......Brilliant and original in your own gripping way. Did I say I loved the lyrics.

The backing really fits, especially the insistant Strat, along with the drums, and of course the bass.

Well done with everything.

Take care.

more psych than ambient to these ears; but I LOVE PSYCH. this is very interesting. at first i found the panning a little strange, but grew to like it. it's like everything is on the sides and nothing down the middle. i think if you turned the bass up a bit it would be even cooler. this is a really original sounding tune, liked it a lot.
