Hi Apocafunk.......
I have enjoyed the mix as is, and it has a lot of promise. The production is great and the atmosphere evoked is very evocative.

Lots of movement and a mixture of different sounding instruments.

Good luck with future mixes.

thanks for the feedback.
I'm glad to hear that the flow of the track has enough movement, and dynamic to hold interest. That was one of the elements which I was unsure of. Thanks for the positive feedback, and the listen.

Hey Josh
That cello intro just grabs you right from the start. I can't wait to hear what you do with the guitar work over this. You are so created on guitar I'll bet it will rock!

Thanks Mark.
The cello part was actually what the song started as. I recorded the cello, and oboe accompaniment before the other elements. At first I was thinking of a strictly orchestral piece, but as it progressed it turned into what it is now. Thanks for the compliment as well; I will post as soon as I have a finished product with guitars.

got atmosphere?
this has loads. Flavors of a mellow middle eastern vibe to me. Did you play the piano? I particularly enjoyed the keys and the percussion through out. Agreed it could easily be a soundtrack

thanks man...
yeah, I played the piano parts. I tried to get the sound as real as possible, since it was a keyboard (no weighted keys, and the 'velocity sensitive' aspect is sub par on it) the dynamics were somewhat forced. I used Reason which is lacking in tone with some of the sounds, so I had to beef up the keys, strings, and percussion with some verb, chorus, unison, and a maximizer. A lot of my stuff has a 'middle eastern' vibe to it, I really get into the exotic scales, and modes. thanks for the positive feedback, and the listen.

definitely has a cinematic vibe to it. truthfully I can't imagine what kind of guitar you would put over this, it's so nice as is. tasty tune.

I agree...
I'm actually struggling with finding ideas for a guitar part. I'm starting to second guess having a guitar part in it. I think there are enough musical elements which fit well enough as is. Thanks for the advice, and the listen.

Great work
I am very excited to hear what comes from this. From the sound of things it looks like you don't need to add much.

I really like
eastern melodies too and this is sounding really good as it is. I could imagine someone like Lunatrick putting some distinctive lyrics/vocals over the top. Great mix.
Cheers
