Description
I came home from work. I was a bit frazzled and needed to re-charge my batteries so I came up with this. Not sure if it is finished yet. What can I do with it? it could go forever. Any ideas? O does anyone fancy developing it? Drop me a line.

first of all
have i told you that i love your little gnome guy? i do! this is a great ambient piece. very relaxing. i think you have a wonderful start here and would love to see where you take this in further development. the pseudo-melody line in the higher synth seemed to get lost a little - i would bring that out a little more. maybe put in some different textures here and there - something a little more percussive once in awhile to keep the forward momentum going? and an ending! it needs an ending! lol...this is a great way to start my morning. very much enjoyed - i look forward to hearing more. thanks!

Glad you Liked It
I must admit it was a bit of a sketch. I could have let it carry on with out a melody line, but I thought that may get boring. I tried some percussive element I could not as yet find anything that fitted. My mind is so scattered at times. I am so glad it was a nice start to the day for you as that was its purpose.

Really nice!
I wouldn't do too much with it, it sounds good enough to me. Maybe a touch of sub-bass in there somewhere? A nice background throb? And I would fade it out too, somehow. I think the ending is too abrupt.

It's a nice piece of ambientia though, real cool. Nice one!

Work in progress
I was thinking about a fade out on a wall of phase. Sea ebbing and flowing something like that. There is kind of a bass in there may be I need to drop it an octave and punch up the EQ.

right then...
opening crescendo really works for me. Some merit to some of shay's advice about bringing some of the sub melodies up some but ... all in all ... really great bones on this. Enjoyed the listen a lot.

Nice chilled piece of synth work. I think Kassia has some good advice ... a few percussive elements or different textures would help it to trip along. Has a pleasantly upbeat feel to it anyway.

kassia's ideas are all really good ones, and i agree that a slow fade out might work better as an ending. but the basics of this are really well done, and i gotta say - i love your little gnome guy too! nice to have you aboard!

I Know
I am on the right track if you enjoyed it. The Gnome guy lives in my back garden at home by the way. He is quite friendly and always smiling.

Hi TBEsq......
The title threw me somewhat. I had to listen to hear what your idea was.

I like the PAD-effect and will listen more to get the full picture.

Take care.

Reinholt
Thanks for the listen. The piece was an attempt to create meditative music, a piece to uplift and refresh, to be honest I think the title was a throw away working title somethinmg I tend to do a lot. I am currently working on a more complete version and the direction in which it is morphing at the moment, I may well change the title to Sea Scape or something of that ilk.

Distant trance.
Oh, I really like the chords and melody here. Really soaring and joyful. My $.02 is that you should not consider adding percussion. Ambient does not need percussion, generally speaking. But I always say that. Maybe EQ a little fizz off the top? Too many cooks, eh? And, of course, the ending needs some attention, but you already knew that. Frazzle up some more.

Most kind of you.
I am currently working on an update. It is turning into a bit of a 10 minute monster. I have been experimenting with adding a two note psuedo arpegio doubled with a bass version of the same thing to add a little rythmic content. I have been working on the ending. I hope you will like the re-post.
