Now You're Almost Gone

When you see the dark skies comin'
And the rain is about to fall
Then you hear the thunder sound
And the watchman on the wall
And now the night is fallin'
And the day is almost gone
You've seen it
You've done it all
You've been there
Now your almost gone

Last night I heard you saying
The pressure seems to much
I felt the floorboards shaking
I feel it in your touch
I'm listening for you answers
I think I found a cure
I can tell by your reaction
No solution will endure
Remember the wings that lifted us
to the heights we soared
After all the cries of passion
How can the echoes be ignored
I heard a line from a Proverb
Or maybe it was Psalms
The poet was master
His words sounded the alarm

The truth is deep and moving
The path is wide and long
But life can be unnerving
When you logic isn't strong
You're a single celled occupant
We all have just one mind
Our painted walls divide us
Business makes us blind
Your voice to weak to whisper
Your still singin' the blues
Your bleeding heart still wonders
But you don't have a clue
Your turning into color
Your turning into light
You don't need a lamp post
To guide you through the night

Oh, ho.
Glad I caught this train. Way to rock a song. I really like this. Wonderful harmony or doubling. I wish I was there for a live performance. Thanks.

Pretty progressive. Reminds me of many great 80's bands. You have a great voice! Rockin' Song!

Nice Work
Well produced mix. This sounds "radio ready" to me. Great job on the vocal harmonies.

As usual, the drums sound stellar. They sit in the mix well.

Almost Gone Left Here
Works on every level. Excellent production, this work horse arrangement gets a nice run here. The middle eight could have used some ear candy, but the atmosphere is covering up any flaw.
Tone and technique on the guitar is pro, not very fresh but dam you nailed it, good flash too. The fills were great as well...I have to come back to look for more of this kind of thing.

Hey Frank
Nice moody piece; I can dig the retro-80's sound. And thank you for the kind comments about my song "Eye of the Hurricane."

almost gone
another good one from you brother - I don't know if you have this long backlog of tunes, or you just spend 18 hours a day playing music because these aren't the types of tunes that you just throw together - you clearly put a lot of work into these songs - good job - thanks for sharing this with us.
