I Love To Tell The Story

Here's a hymn! I've tried several A Capella recordings, but this is the best of them. I'm a bass, so to get all four parts into a singable range, I transposed the soprano and alto parts down an octave (becoming lead and baritone), and THEN, I transposed some of the bass notes down an octave as well to give some rumble (we're talking bass D on a ledger line!) The effect is a nice, round male-quartet type harmony with the tenor line usually coming out on top.

Audacity for all recording and editing.
Kristal for reverb and mixing.

I love to tell the story of unseen things above,
Of Jesus and His Glory, of Jesus and His Love,
I love to tell the story because I know 'tis true,
It satisfies my longings as nothing else can do.

I love to tell the story, 'twill be my theme in Glory,
To tell the old, old story of Jesus and His Love.

No, I did not write this, I just arranged it. I don't do a lot of singing, and I'm pretty bad at it too, so I probably won't be uploading much vocal stuff.

Nice arrangement
Thanks for sharing how you did the arrangement. You know, for a bass, you have a really sweet lead tenor voice. I'm used to hearing that high tenor part popping more, so this does have a more round, comfortable sound. Nice work!
