Here's an older tune I've been shilling for a while now.
With a new mix and a general update I thought it might be worth uploading here.
Also have a look at the video I made for it too, if you'd like:

Better that I fall on the side of the road than in your arms,
because there's no comfort in obligation,
no warmth in impatient love.

Don't look over your shoulder,
you know it doesn't matter,
we never would've worked it out anyway.

Better that we fall when no-one's around,
than in this familiar crowd,
because we've no reason to hold together,
we're satellites without gravity.

And if I bury my heart in the hope that it could one day be found,
let not the pain of the wait nor the weight of the hurt,
destroy me.

Home is only home if you've left it.

Sounds great, really flows. The lyrics are well written -- "Home is only home if you've left it. " -- very nice. I like the harmony vocals -- impressive falsetto. Guitars -- yes. Drums, bass -- very tight, good groove. The video ... mmm ... not so much. No offense, but nothing much happens. But I'm impressed by your skills. All in all, very well done.

I dig the bass in this and the laid back singing, This is very well put together it has some very cool changes. There sounds like there was allot of care in the placement of sounds and how you played your instruments. Top notch Excellent!

that's interesting. In previous versions I really buried that bassline, and I'm not really sure why. This is the best the tune has sounded, I think. Glad you dug it too.

I really like this. Nice driving beat, and the lyrics are full of really nice lines ("Better that we fall when no-one's around/ than in this familiar crowd" - sweet). Lovely vocal delivery and nice guitar work, especially that nice solo. Very cool. Nicely done. Peace.

yeah, i like the solo a lot but i hear a mistake there every time that just kills me! it's the smallest of things and, in light of all that went so well in that take, it's nothing. but it's still there haunting me.

Really beautiful. Love how the start is kinda off cadence but the bass straightens it all out when it comes in. A great big anthem of longing. Is that you on falsetto? Sounds like an actual girl? No? The lyrics are great, as a poem, stand-alone. You really have a way with words. Stunning breaks and pensive transitions as usual. This has a bit of a MinuteMen funky side to it, but also big 80's power ballad angst. Great job. Man and the video has some really cool textures. Upping the ante at MJ as usual.!

minutemen huh? will have to check them out.
again, not a girl, just my luscious falsetto :)
glad you dug the song and the lyrics. I think that's why the song has hung around so long - I'm really happy with the words on this one.
