Description
This music was offered at Indaba by Richie Girencko., a marvelous musician from Russia. Greg Pappas from Spain jumped on board with the lyric in honor of his late father, and gave it a tremendous sing! I'm the bgv girl following the arrangement Rich put together.

Lyrics
DAY BY DAY

When the sun has set
when the twilight's glow turns cold
as the shadows grow
I feel the earth so tired and old

A familiar sound
takes me back to a better time
a memory out of reach
in some corner of my mind

It wasn't always so
the present seemed to last forever
we knew it wouldn't end
but we knew wrong

But that's the price we pay
as we drag on day by day
it's not that time runs fast
it's that our memory's swept away

Day by Day
it's like an endless record skipping
reminding me
that you're gone and you are not returning

we can't stop the clocks
there's no turning back the page
except to leaf through what we were
what we did and all these things that made us

Day by day
day by day goes by
Memories
shifting with the tide

As I raise my hand
and wonder what to do
will we ever fill
this emptiness left by you?

And though the image blurs
and though these memories try so hard to hide
there's a part of you
that never leaves my side

It wasn't always so
the present seemed to last forever
we knew it wouldn't end
but we knew wrong

But that's the price we pay
as we drag on day by day
it's not that time runs fast
it's that our memory's swept away

Day by Day
it's like an endless record skipping
reminding me
that you're gone and you are not returning

we can't stop the clocks
there's no turning back the page
except to leaf through what we were
what we did and all these things that made us

Great
A very "holy" sounding song. Greg sure does have some pipes and the backing vocals are perfect. As for the drums........ Not the usual that I normally hear on Macjams. Sounds like a very "live" performance. Very cool toon.

Onto the iPod you go!

A great song. Love the vocals and harmonies. Backing is just right. Love the continental flavour, especially the accent on the vocals.

Indaba collab
Nice clean recording. I like the 70s film score feel to the melody, and how he occasionally breaks out. I loved imagining you as the back-up singers, even down to the little dance steps. Too bad the flute and other instrument items were MIDI instead of real, they add a stiffness that the vocals don't share - which are very alive and full of emotion. But the guitar works really well, and the drums are tasteful and dignified, adding to the mystique and history around those cool lead vocals.

This is very,
very Russian in feel and I love it. I actually listen to quite a lot of Russian music. Top notch all round and your vocal really works beautifully. Definite download. Thanks. I am also giving a copy to my wife who will also love this.
Cheers

Great song
and the lyrics are really tops, made even more dramatic by Greg's great vocals. The backing vocals' (choir) you did on this sounds tops and help give just the right build up in all the right places, as well as counter balancing the vocal sounds with your smoothness against Greg's harder male sound..... Love it Anne, regards M

What Tobin said
This indaba kick you sisters are on is really where it's at: plenty of range for you to work your magic (very fine BV arrangement BTW).
