Description
This is my 2nd Hang drum experiment and also, my 2nd piece inspired by Robertson Davies' "The Deptford Trilogy".
A Foolsaint, according to Davies, is a role model, or a figure in someone's life who is admired. This 'fool-saint' is a person that, in the eyes of the beholder, is a perfect person. "Blinded by love".
My goal with this piece was to create a sense of awe and majesty, but there is also a subtle dissonance throughout the piece - this person is merely human, not at all the saint you have made them out to be.
Thanks to magnatone, davisamerica and drakonis for their ears.
