Description

I wrote this song in 2006 at the tender age of 17. It has a special place in my heart...it was one of the first full songs that I wrote and it is the first that I felt truly proud of. It's rather long but new riffs and parts are introduced throughout so it shouldn't be too painful!

Update: I have remixed and revised just about every note in here. Everything sounds better...added some instruments and altered some parts just barely. Enjoy!

	You rock the keys This is really well constructed man! I love the drum arrangement. Its so dark and eerie yet beautiful. It reminds me a bit of the music in the video game Doom, which kicks ass. Prog Rock
This is far more prog rock than my installment - even with the furious double bass drum rolls. Very complex composition. I hear shades of Rush and Gentle Giant here. Finding some vocals I think would be great. Perhaps a MJer would volunteer if you are not into singing. If I were to give a suggestion - vary the velocity on your repeated piano chords so the sound less mechanical. Unless, of course you want that. I've also had some success running piano through distortion. Have a good day and thanks for listening to my song. Johnny Winter
Oh...thanks for remembering Johnny Blues is my bro, though the song I'm talking about "Frankenstein" is by an old group The Edgard Winter Group...I think that's right(?) macjammer's help? Johnny Winter (Edgar's brother) who was part of the group played a moog synthesizer (can't recall the name of it) that looks like a guitar with a keyboard. Johnny Winter performed here in Seattle at the Backstage theatre in Ballard some years back...pretty awsome. I believe brothers are albino and quite a sight to behold with their white hair, white eyelashes, and pale skin.
