Bill
a late post before Christmas :)
As usual, I love your playing. In this case I'm surprised (well, not really .... "impressed" might be a better word) by your incredible accuracy on the slide. This sounds fantastic - great recording as well as playing.
Best for 2010 to you and yours Bill.

LOVELY
I would love to hear this just a tad slower to give a kind of bayou or everglades fishing afternoon feel, so I'm gonna stick it in GB and take it down apace. Already have a feeling I'll be listening so deep the alligators'll take me for a log.

BILL!!!! I was just thinking yesterday about how long it's been since I've heard a new tiler tune! your slide guitar skills are just awesome, and as neil said, so accurate - and then just to make the point, you also hit your harmonics perfectly. THANK YOU - what a treat!

On a porch
The amount of things slightly off tempo and slight short of expected tuning makes this an intimate and visual track for me, as if I am watching you on a porch feeling the warm sun as it moves across a partially clouded sky washing over players who encompass a past of many a varied expressions and histories. Nice mix of influences. Very homespun and enjoyable. Thanks for sharing this. And merry Christmas.

Hits the melodic, harmonic spot(s).
Listening to both this and the "Bethlehem" mix together, I think I like this more than the "fancy" version. The higher EQ or something about the slide melodies and harmonics just seem to tickle my funny bone with a certain lilt. I love having the two to enjoy side by side, though I'm not sure my analysis says more about your tune or my preferences du jour.

Great sound
I love that open tuning sound. It is very melodical and "major" sounding. Right up my alley.

Hi Bill
I think you've invented a whole new sub genre of fingerstyle guitar - baroque slide guitar.
If Bach was a slide guitar player he would have sounded like this.
It's simply brilliant.
