That's cool
I like the new mix. I liked this song the first time. I'm actually glad I heard it again. It's really got a cool smooth vibe. Kinda 80's 90's new wave... Good stuff.

Better mix
This is a much better mix.
Much more expansive and gives all the instruments room to breathe without losing the driving feel of the song.
Good stuff
cheers

You got the good stuff.
I remember Echo & the Bunnymen. I remember the Gunn Club. I hated the Psychedelic Furs, damn sellouts. But most of all, remember the plimsouls. And now I can do a little revisionist history and remember "The Only Drug" as part of my 80s. The good, raunchy 80s. I really like it.

But you seem as shy of letting your vocal be heard as R.E.M. was on Mummer! ODdly, despite your voice being mixed so low, it's clear and easy to hear, so I actually wouldn't change it. I don't know how you did that -- do tell if it's a mastering trick -- but it works.

LOL
Thanks....My "trick" is to come down to my garage at night. If I was to actually "sing", I think the neighbors would hear and I don't want that...LOL, so I cup my hans around the mic and almost whisper into it. Good trick huh? Too funny.....

Didn't hear Mix #1 but this is great
Level of the vocal is EXCELLENT: just high enough to be totally discernible but still pretty far back. And this song is really nicely put together in all respects--the writing itself, arrangements, singing--I'm a fan!

I could have sworn I commented on this....
it's ace really good rockin' kick ass tune. The whole thing has what I imagine to be a 'surfy' laid back feel to it.....not dissimilar to what we have in Yorkshire...not!! Srsly good track, cheers. Jarvoid
Check out my latest song called Port Arthur Blues
