Soft rock and Latin mix. Started out to create a piece that would feature a lot of B3 sounding organ. After adding a catchy guitar riff, I decided to focus more on the guitar and less on the organ. When I discovered some Spanish (Cuban) lyrics in GarageBand that seemed to go along with the mood I wanted -- the song took on a Latin flavor.

Do love the organ
Great guitars... Do the vocals come from GB loops? Great fit - great mix! Keep it up!

Yes, the vocals are sampled GB loops called "Cuban Fun Voices." They didn't sound to me like the people singing the lyrics were actually having much fun -- maybe it just comes across that way when mixed with my riffs.

the doors meet deSol :-) I always enjoy a good groove with the B3 holding court. Nice flow and mix. The lyric loop fits perfectly.
Like the 2nd half the best as it opens up in that wild guitar rhythm like solo effort..wanted to hear more of that :-)

The synth(s) used in the background added some nice texture..kept it dreamy...nicely done

Amigo! Mui bien! This is a pretty sweet little groove, I think the latin loops are cool, but it sounds like this is a pretty versital jam and it lends itself to other possibilities as well. Some cool guitar licks in there already, I would like to hear some more overdriven hot licks added to this a La Carlos, eh?
Cheers! liked it

More guitar licks
A little sharper guitar solo overlay might be a good change of pace -- let me experiment with that. Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, I was actually thinking of re-using the basic background groove in other ways. I'd like to do more with putting the listener in sort of a soothing but rhythmic trance.

I did spend quite a bit a time on this one -- adding to and adjusting the many layers. Glad you found it worthwhile.

cool sounds
Like those arpeggios latter on and the chunka chunka of the guitar through out. Nice voice loops addition. Hypnotic in a way. Cool lead guitar later on.

Thanks for sharing !

The 70's
I was part of the Los Angeles 70's and 80's Latin Music era! This is near perfect of the songs we wrote and played.
All that is needed is the horns.

:: impressed ::

Thanks so much!
So glad that someone with your experience found this to gave me some feedback. I was very anxious about how it would be received by Latin musicians. I know there are a couple of changes I plan to make before I CDify it -- let me see where a little horn can be added.
